    Description
    Large 34" pressed felt pennant from the 1914 Rose Bowl. Very nice condition with a couple of small pieces of black tape on reverse to cover a thin spot in the felt. They are invisible to the front so I am not sure if they were ever necessary. However, I am not going to remove them since this old style, thin felt, was basically made as a throwaway. Amazing it has survived. I am shipping this rolled in a tube to protect it.
    This is from the Roger Howlett collection. Howlett was a well known worker and decorator of many years on the parade. His Rose collection is extensive and dates to 1900. All his material was sleeved and stored immediately.
