    Description
    This is a very nice, strictly original, silver,
    "Six Pence"
    from New Zealand. These were the first type ever struck for New Zealand and they only made them in 1933, 1934, 1935 and 1936 during the reign of King George V.
    Struck for Kings George V and George VI, New Zealand produced them in silver until 1946. Then, in 1947 they went to copper-nickel and that metal continued until they went to decimal coinage in 1967.
    Weight: 2.82 Gram, 19.3 Millimeter, .500 Silver. Mintage: 1,480,000.

    Reverse:
    NEW ZEALAND • SIXPENCE • 1936 • Female Huia bird, the beaks were different. Native to the north island of New Zealand, they are now extinct.
    The Coin:
    A very nice, fully original example. It saw some use, earning some light wear, scratches and dirt. It has never been cleaned and is scarcer and more desirable because of it. As grading is subjective, please see the pictures and judge for yourself.
