The film Star Wars - A New Hope made its debut on May 25, 1977. This .999 fine silver rectangular proof was issued by Niue to mark the 40th anniversary. It weighs 1 Troy oz. and portions of the design have been colorized. Mintage was limited to 10,000 pieces of each poster coin and these coins are sold out at the Mint.
A New Hope Poster Coin is the rarest coin of the whole collection, especially in PF 70 condition with the Black Star Wars Label.
