This beautifully engraved 1oz silver coin heroes the massive AT-AT Walker™ during the Battle of Hoth™ in Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back.
Officially licensed by Lucasfilm Ltd, the coin is made from .999 pure silver and is legal tender. The effigy of Queen Elizabeth II can be found on the obverse.

The first release in the new STAR WARS™ Vehicles Series was struck by the New Zealand Mint from one ounce of 99.9% silver and is dedicated to the legendary AT-AT™ Walker. The motive features a detailed depiction of the massive AT-AT™ (all-terrain armored transport) during the Battle of Hoth™ in "Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back." Another AT-AT Walker™ appears in the background. The weight and fineness as well as the copyright are also included in the design.
The AT-AT Walker™ is a four-legged transport and combat vehicle that was used by the ground forces of the Galactic Empire and the First Order. Along with the Imperial Star Destroyer, the Stormtroopers and the TIE-Fighter™, it is considered one of the most recognizable symbols of the Empire's military strength and might. With a height of over 20 meters and their strong armor, these massive constructs are not only valued for their tactical advantage, but also for psychological effects. The AT-AT's impressive arsenal of weapons is composed of two heavy laser cannons under the chin, which could be fired both in rapid alternation and simultaneously, four blasters for personal defense, and a dorsal dual laser gun at the rear. The AT-AT's few weak points include its weakly armored neck and somewhat unstable gait, due to its tall legs. The AT-AT Walker™ played a pivotal role during the Battle of Hoth, where they were able to destroy the shield generator around the Rebel Alliance's secret base, paving the way for the Imperial invasion.
