    Description

Here is a wonderful, heavy, Japanese cache pot from the Meiji Period 1868-1912.
Pot is made of bronze and has a copper patina with splendid attached decorations of large peony flowers on branches with leaves.
There are three cranes hand incised around the pot. The bottom has incised designs as well as shown in the last photo.
The top rim has a bamboo geometric band around it. Very unique. There are no markings or dents!
Pot is very large and measures 9 3/4" inches tall. Widest part is 13.5" inches with the flower that sticks out. The diameter of the top opening is 9 7/8" inches. Bottom base measures 6 5/8" inches diameter. Weighs almost 9 pounds. Thank you for your interest!
