    Description

    Rare, stunning, large antique Japanese Satsuma vase with unusual lavender ground. This is an absolute head-turner of a statement vase and conversation piece. Dates to the early 20th century, very late Meiji or Taisho. Each side is decorated with two figures against a shaded light purple background. Gilt highlights and moriage details throughout. Dragon head handles. Unknown mark on bottom.
    Vase approximately 14 1/4” tall. Decent overall condition with some very old small chips and associated hairlines around mouthrim, light surface scratches. Slightly uneven, slanted mouthrim. Please zoom in and study all photos.
