Antique Japanese Sumida Gawa Moon Vase Pottery SIgned Inoue Ryosai, from the Meiji Period.
The bowl is signed with a seal mark of the most well known and sought after of the Sumida Gawa artists Inoue Ryosai.
This beautiful, unique piece is teeming with detail and gorgeous colors.
It does show a few minor areas of age, wear and/or damage. Specifically, the figure on the front far left of vase is missing his lower arm/hand. The figure in the front middle has a chip in his nose. The figure on the back has a chip on the hem of his garment. There is other, general wear present.
