    Description

    Complete Civil War excavated Bayonet found near the Wilderness Battlefield.  Acquired from a reputable dealer in Fredericksburg in the late 80’s.  Bayonet is a model 1816. US stamp is still visible in correct light.  Stable patina overall.  Being a model 1816 and the 1864 date for the battle, this could easily be a confederate used item.
    Offered with a low starting bid and no reserve.
