CONDITION : Good considering the age. Used.
There are natural flaws that occurred at the time of baking. And a lid has some flaws. But it can not be helped. because this is a really old item. And it is not a problem for use. Because it is not a serious damages.
AGE : 1800-1868 (It is the late Japanese Edo period).
This is the old original. This is never an imitation.
MATERIAL : Pottery of Agano-yaki.
AGANO-yaki is a traditional pottery kiln that has been inherited in the Fukuoka Prefecture. It's one of the most old pottery kiln with an history of about 400 years. The pottery using green glaze is the characteristic of that. And it has gained a high reputation and popularity in the art of the tea utensils. In addition, Agano-yaki is one of the Seven Kilns of Enshu. It is called Enshu-Shichi-yo.
