Japanese Gu Form Cloisonne Vase Red Pigeon Blood Glaze Dragon and Bamboo Very nicely decorated a coiled dragon around the center section with bamboo above and below, all covered with a deep red pigeon blood clear enamel. About 9 5/8 inches tall. About 731 grams. Marked MADE IN JAPAN on the base rim as shown. I thought it was in excellent condition until I took it out into bright sunlight to photograph. Then I discovered a crack in the enamel at the base, and tiny ding in the rim, with cracks in the enamel leading away (please see the photos). Otherwise fine. We have included pictures taken in our studio and in bright sun light. It is a very nice vase, with unusual form and decoration.
