    Description

Japanese Edo or Meiji Period Mix-metal Silver inlay Bronze Usubata Vase The dragons are wonderfully inlaid and the patina is untouched. That is a hard find. The dragons are removable as with most Usubatas, note: The dragons are identical each are missing one leg they were cast, the legs and bodys were cash separately originally) One would need to take a mold of the needed legs and then have them cast in bronze if someone were to add a little bit of silver to the casting it would help give this beautiful dark color. The vase shows very well both missing legs could be facing away no matter which type of base you want to view. This amazing urn is 19” tall and it 9 1/4” wide. Also take note did a couple of loses to the horns and whiskers. This pice is not signed otherwise there are no dents or scratches if you have any questions please feel free to ask I couldn’t take additional photos as well if needed, if there’s an offer that you would like to suggest as far as pricing again don’t hesitate to ask. It’s hard to find with a patina untouched it is an incredible piece I hope it goes to a good home.
