Description
This is a unique camera is some aspects. It is from Kochmann Camera which was existing in Nazi Germany from maybe about 1921 thru 1938 when the founder Franz Kochmann was forced to flee to Holland. I believe this is a variant of the Korelle model of which their were many, this is probably a 3x4, taking 127 roll film, from about 1931. The lens assembly pops out by pressing a button on the bottom plate. The viewfinder on top flips up and has glass in both the front and rear element. The lens is a Vario model made by Gauthier, manual focus, F stop 4.5 to 16, speeds 25 50 100 B T. Film is wound by a knob on bottom right. There are two round red windows which I think are used in winding the film to take half frame photos. The condition shows signs of wear, some patches of worn off paint and much general wear. Speeds, F stops shutter all "work", but only by putting a roll of 127 thru it can one be sure of accuracy. With a camera this old it has to be sold as is. See the photos as they are part of the description. In first sentence I said this may be a unique camera, by that I meant The German camera industry at this time seems to make every camera a "one off" by moving a knob from left side to right, top to bottom, bellows struts from sides to top and bottom, almost every photo I see of this type of camera appears just a little different, the lens manufacturers also seem to be constantly making changes.
