In this listing we have a really handsome Ken doll head. This doll head was released by Mattel as part of the brand new 2021 Barbie Looks collection. This Ken head uses a brand new face mold call “Jon”. He’s a really handsome doll. He has a medium skin tone, hair that is flocked on the sides with rooted microbraids at the top, dark brown eyes, and dark brown lips. This doll head uses the pivotal style neck knob and will need a body with a similar neck joint. This doll head was made in Indonesia and is free from head glue.
This doll head is in good shape. It has never been played with and was just taken out of the box. He does have some factory flaws. His hair does look good. It’s still in it’s original factory set. His braids look good. Some of the ends of them are a little undone, but in my experience that happens to all dolls with this hairstyle. He does have one braid where the end of it is sticking out of the rest of the hairstyle. It looks like it didn’t get fully rubber banded with the rest of his hair. The doll’s flocking looks good. He did manage to get a little linty from his original white outfit so his flocking might need some help removing that (I would be very careful and not get it wet or anything since flocking can easily come off). On the back of his neck on the legal info at the very back of his head he has a small black spot. It looks like a tiny bit of extra flocking. The doll’s face paint looks good. His eyebrows look good without any issue. On the bottom of the doll’s eyes there’s a small lighter colored spot at the bottom of the iris. It’s in both eyes, so I’m not sure if it’s part of the design or a small painting flaw. The doll’s lips look good. They are pretty close in color to his skin tone so it’s hard to see if there’s any issues since it tends to blend in. I don’t see any, but I could have missed something. The doll’s neck rim looks good. There is a small cut to the side of the internal neck rim. It looks to just be on the surface and doesn’t go very deep, but I would be careful with it so it doesn’t get any worse. The did trim off some plastic around the outer edge of his neck rim, that’s part of the manufacture process. They left the tiniest bits of excess vinyl at the start of his jaw on each side. On the bottom left of his jaw he has a small raised line at the underside of the head. This is really thin and very hard to see. Please examine all pictures to see the exact condition of this doll head and please keep in mind some issues are more visible in person compared to pictures.
