    Description

    This is a very nice .500 silver 1934 three pence which I'm calling XF/AU. It has very few marks and is a very clean example. For those who are interested in die breaks (the whole three pence series has many to follow) this piece has a die break on the reverse from the rim, through the left patu handle, and continuing upwards at a 45 degree angle. This is described in Roy S. Lester's "Fully Illustrated Guide to New Zealand Coins and Varieties". Catalog for the 1934 3D is in XF.
