Continuing our homage to Disney’s classic movie Tim Burton’s
The Nightmare Before Christmas
we have produced a third hauntingly beautiful limited edition silver coin featuring the lovelorn deuteragonist, Sally.
Sally was created by Halloween Town’s “evil scientist” Dr Finkelstein. A resourceful rag doll, she is always willing to lend a limb or do a little legwork to help Jack Skellington out of a predicament. In fact, Sally is in love with Jack, but for most of the movie is unsuccessful in showing her affections to him. However, by the end, she manages to reveal her secret and he reveals that he loves her in return.
Made from 1oz pure silver this antiqued coin is both engraved and colored featuring the lovelorn Sally amongst an array of imagery synonymous with her and the movie. See if you can spot spooky pumpkins, a needle and thread (so often used by Sally to stitch herself back together), a spider, Sally’s cat, gravestones, a red rose to signify true love and the poison bottle she uses on Dr Finkelstein!
The engraved obverse includes a swirling design behind the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and confirms it as a legal tender coin.
