Item Description
Up for your consideration is a very fine antique Japanese Satsuma vase, dating from the late Edo period, c. 1850 - 1870. The ornate vase has two recessed cartouches, each depicting three elders. They are meticulously painted, and unlike later Satsuma, are glazed. There are gold rope handles, and a very ornately painted neck/ The vase is in excellent condition, free of chips, cracks, or restoration. The gold paints remains intact, showing light wear.
The vase measures 11.5" tall, and about 5.5" wide.
