Very nice Civil War Cartridge Box Plate. This is a dug piece that was found here in the Shenandoah valley by one of the early local relic hunters. This plate has a great look to the brass with a very nice patina and some of the original dirt. The edge is pretty much dent free with a nice oval shape.The back is still lead filled and both iron hooks have been lost to time. Very nice dug example!!
