    Very Rare Vintage Dinosaur AMNH NYC Centennial 1969/70 Tyrannosaurus Not Sinclair - See also my Brontosaurus & other T. rex on excellent condition in separate auctions.
    Extremely rare New York City American Museum of Natural History vintage Dinosaur Toy. Tyrannosaurus made in faux bronze marbled plastic for the AMNH to sell only in their gift shops during their Centennial celebration (1969-1970). Based on mid 60s Sinclair figures BUT made from either new or altered molds- there are several differences besides the metallic look, some had a slight loss of detail or no name & length AND the T rex had teeth (original green Sinclair had an open mouth but no teeth). These were extremely limited, sold only for about a year or so, at the museum. Interestingly, these are the models recast by DFC toys in various waxy monochromatic colors not the Sinclairs! This is in good condition with great marbling but a chewed tail tip- see all pix .
