This is one piece of a large collection of Barbie dolls, Ken dolls, clothing and accessories we will be offering from a private collection. Please see our other items for additional hard-to-find Barbie Collectibles.
Today we are happy to offer for sale a great looking first edition (Barbie) 1971 Sunset Malibu Ken Doll, #1088.
Ken is marked on his bottom "c. 1968 Mattel Inc. U.S. & For. Pat'd. other Pats/pending, Hong Kong." He has the thicker eyebrows, toothy smile, and bendable legs. Included with this doll are a few extra outfits which may or may not be Mattel items. Outfits consists of:
Doll is wearing Breakfast at 7 #1428, 1969: yellow and orange plaid pjs, with an extra pair of pants; good condition, extra pair of pants has stretched out/dried elastic waits
Mod Hair Ken Check Jacket & Trousers #4224, 1973: brown plaid cotton jacket, good condition; tan cotton slacks w/attached belt, red ink marks near side seams; knit white dickie, needs to be washed
Best Buy Fashions #7763, 1974: loud red plaid jacket with flocked collar
Red plush open style jacket with stand up collar, very good, untagged
Blue sneakers, blue pilot's cap, brown tie shoes, brown low boots and black riding boots
