Item Description :
This is a Japanese pottery vase of Bizen Ware, which was
made by a famous potter, Masaru Matusbara (1955-)
about 20 years ago.
The signature of the potter is carved around the bottom.  The original wooden box with his signature is also included.
Bizen ware is a type of Japanese pottery most identifiable by its ironlike hardness, reddish brown color, absence of glaze, and marklings resulting from wood-burning kiln firing.
